A Time to Embrace Love and Warmth – Self Love Practices in 2025

A Time to Embrace Love and Warmth
This year, my journey into self-love has been deeply inspired by my profound meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama in September end at my Golden Future Teacher Training. His presence and teachings reminded me that true love and peace begin within, and from this place, we can extend compassion and warmth to the world.
As winter’s chill deepens, the final Full Moon of the year, traditionally known as the Cold Moon, rises with its luminous glow, inviting us to pause, reflect, and seek the warmth of love within. This moon, named for the stillness and cold that envelops the Earth, serves as a gentle reminder that even in the quietest and coldest of times, love remains an eternal flame, ready to bring comfort and light to our souls.
The Cold Moon calls us to turn inward, reconnect with our hearts, and explore the spaces where love has been neglected, unacknowledged, or dimmed. It is a time to shed emotional frost and allow the Divine Light of love to thaw any barriers, so we may radiate warmth to ourselves and others.
In this Meditation, we are held in the sacred energies of Archangel Chamuel, Venus, and the Cosmic Heart—three celestial forces that embody pure, unconditional love and harmony:
- Archangel Chamuel, the angel of compassion and peace, helps us mend relationships, cultivate self-love, and dissolve any resistance to receiving or giving love. His soft, pink light wraps around us, healing wounds of the heart.
- Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, encourages us to embrace joy, harmony, and grace. Her nurturing presence gently awakens our ability to see love in ourselves, others, and the world around us.
- The Cosmic Heart, an infinite pulse of Divine Love, connects us to the Universe’s unending support, reminding us that we are always loved, held, and guided.
Introspective Questions to Deepen Your Reflection
- Where in my life have I built walls that keep love at bay—whether from myself, others, or the Divine?
- How can I nurture and strengthen the love I feel for myself?
- Are there relationships in my life that need healing, forgiveness, or more compassion? How can I take the first step toward that healing?
- What fears or beliefs stop me from receiving love fully and unconditionally?
- How can I embody the warmth of love and share it with the world around me, even in the “cold” moments of life?
Meditation: Reconnect with the Flame of Love
Under the luminous glow of the Cold Moon or in quiet reflection, take a moment to close your eyes and place your hands over your heart. Breathe deeply, feeling each inhale fill you with light and warmth. Visualize Archangel Chamuel’s pink light embracing you, Venus’ golden energy pouring into your heart, and the radiant Cosmic Heart pulsing with love that synchronizes with your own heartbeat.
As this energy flows within you, allow yourself to soften. Let go of any fears, doubts, or icy walls around your heart. Feel the warmth of Divine Love melt away all that no longer serves you. Know that you are deeply loved, always enough, and infinitely supported.
Self-Love Affirmation Practices
Affirmations are powerful tools that can reprogram your mind and heart to embrace unconditional self-love and acceptance. Under the glow of the Cold Moon, try incorporating these affirmations into your meditation, journaling, or daily routine.

The Cold Moon is a sacred teacher, reminding us that love is a choice and a practice. It shows us that warmth is not dependent on external conditions but arises from within when we reconnect to our hearts and the Divine source of love.
May Mother Moon always guide you to embrace your light, nurture your heart, and radiate love to yourself and the world.
