Unicorn Magic Miracles and Possibilities (Part 1)
Connecting with Your Personal Unicorn: My personal Journey into Magic, Intuition and Self-Discovery with my Unicorn Guide
Have you ever felt drawn to unicorns without knowing why? Perhaps you keep seeing their images everywhere, feel an inexplicable connection to them, or experience a sense of peace, joy, and wonder whenever you think about them.
What if this attraction could become an invitation to explore your inner world, deepen your intuition, and reconnect with the most authentic parts of yourself?
For me, the journey of connecting with unicorns began during a significant period of personal transformation. What started as a series of unusual encounters gradually became a meaningful part of my spiritual journey and eventually played a role in the creation of my own venture, Unicorn Insight.
This is my story of connecting with my personal Unicorn, Cranio, and how you can begin exploring your own connection.
A Journey That Began with Transformation
The year 2012 brought significant changes into my life. While something new was opening up, I was also experiencing immense grief and emotional turmoil. I often felt stuck, helpless, and overwhelmed by my own thoughts.
I have always experienced emotions intensely. My joys could be extraordinary, but my sadness could feel equally overwhelming. During that period, I struggled with self-doubt and often felt that I was failing at life.
In the midst of this confusion, I travelled to Bali with my sister, Annggha.
I vividly remember standing outside the beautiful Monkey Forest in Ubud when I experienced what felt like an energetic shift. It was as though something had awakened within me. I remember it as my first energetic upgrade.
Within a few months, I met my Reiki Master, and my spiritual journey began to accelerate.
Following my Reiki Master attunement in 2014, I devoted considerable time to prayer, meditation, and self-healing. I would return home after work and spend time praying for myself and my family, followed by meditation and Reiki practice.
Little did I know that these practices would lead me towards experiences that would change the way I understood my spiritual life.
My First Encounter with Unicorns
Within a few months of completing my Reiki Master training, I experienced a significant breakthrough in my corporate career. I was offered an opportunity to travel overseas for a work assignment in London.
This was a dream I had carried for years. During my MBA days, I would often imagine myself sitting in an overseas office, working at my desk while watching snow fall outside the window.
And there I was, living that dream.
I arrived in London during the extreme winter, with temperatures dropping to minus five degrees Celsius. My work gave me exposure to new responsibilities, and my colleagues began recognising me for my dedication, creativity, and ability to solve complex problems.
I felt an extraordinary sense of belonging in a foreign land. Everything seemed to be falling into place, almost effortlessly.
One freezing day, after receiving appreciation from my seniors for a complex Excel model I had built from scratch, I walked back towards my service apartment feeling incredibly happy.
As I searched through my purse for my house keys, I noticed a woman walking ahead of me carrying a bag with a large unicorn printed on it.
Something about that image caught my attention. It felt as though the unicorn was trying to tell me something.
That night, I dreamt of unicorns: enormous, beautiful, shining white horses jumping with joy. They felt free, loving, playful, and full of life.
I remember thinking that they represented my own soul.
Over the following two to three weeks, I began noticing unicorns everywhere—in shops, stores, parks, and other unexpected places. At first, I dismissed these encounters as coincidences, although I felt increasingly drawn to them.
One Sunday afternoon, while visiting Hamleys on Oxford Street, I noticed a huge unicorn soft toy. It captured my attention in a way I could not explain.
That evening, I sensed a positive presence in my home. As I closed my eyes and became still, I experienced a vivid inner image of an enormous white unicorn standing behind me, radiating pure white light.
The experience filled me with a sense of wonder and joy.
For me, it felt like the beginning of a deeper connection.
Shortly afterwards, I came across our teacher Diana Cooper’s book Archangel Guide to Ascension: 55 Steps to Ascension. Its discussion of unicorns resonated with experiences I had been having, helping me place them within a spiritual framework that made sense to me. I wanted to know more read more and connect more
Discovering My Personal Unicorn, Cranio
After returning to Mumbai, I continued noticing unicorns. I eventually wrote an article about my experiences, titled Unicorns and Reiki, which was published on Reiki Rays.
However, life soon became stressful again. Family circumstances demanded my attention, and the sense of connection I had experienced gradually faded.
By May 2015, my corporate job had become increasingly demanding. I was working long hours, feeling exhausted, and struggling to understand why a career I had once loved was becoming so difficult.
My computer systems repeatedly crashed. I changed three machines within fifteen days, yet the problems continued. Work was delayed, deadlines became difficult to meet, and my seniors grew frustrated.
I felt as though my life was trying to tell me something, although I did not yet understand what.
One day, while sitting at my desk, I sensed what felt like a divine presence behind me. When I closed my eyes, I experienced an inner vision of a group of enormous, glowing white unicorns surrounding me.
I felt excited and curious. Instead of dismissing the experience, I decided to ask what it might mean.
Over the following days, I continued to experience vivid imagery and thoughts of unicorns during meditation and in everyday life.
One night, just before sleeping, I entered a deeply relaxed meditative state. In my experience, a large herd of unicorns appeared, and one stood out from the others.
I received a message that I understood as coming from my personal Unicorn guide:
“My name is Cranio. Know that all the things you are going through are for a reason. This job has already given you whatever it had to. The purpose is over, and you just have to move on.
“Go and do something in learning, development and training. Research it properly, and then move towards a new career. You are meant to be a trainer, a speaker, a writer.”
The message stayed with me.
Whether we understand such an experience as spiritual guidance, intuitive insight, or the wisdom that emerges when the mind becomes quiet, I believe there is value in listening to the questions it brings to the surface.
In my case, the experience encouraged me to consider a direction I had not fully acknowledged before.
What Does It Mean to Connect with Your Personal Unicorn?
In my spiritual understanding, a personal Unicorn is a symbol of purity, joy, freedom, wisdom, and a deeper connection with the soul.
For some people, connecting with a Unicorn may involve vivid inner imagery, dreams, or a felt sense of presence. For others, it may be a gentle attraction to unicorns, a recurring symbol, or an opportunity to explore their imagination and intuition.
There is no single experience that everyone must have.
You do not need to see a Unicorn with your inner vision or receive a clear message for your practice to be meaningful. You may simply experience a feeling, a colour, a memory, an emotion, or a new perspective.
The purpose is not to force an extraordinary experience. It is to create a space in which you can become quieter, more receptive, and more connected with yourself.
Guided Activity: Connecting with Your Personal Unicorn
Set aside 15–20 minutes in a quiet place where you can relax without interruption.
Step 1: Create a sacred space
Choose a comfortable place to sit. You may light a candle, play gentle meditation music, or keep a notebook nearby.
These are optional supports. The most important thing is to create an environment in which you feel comfortable and present.
Step 2: Ground yourself
Close your eyes and take a few slow, natural breaths.
Feel your feet touching the floor and notice the support beneath your body. Imagine roots extending gently from your feet into the Earth, helping you feel steady and grounded.
Allow your shoulders to relax. There is no need to force your breathing or empty your mind.
Step 3: Create a sense of protection
Imagine yourself surrounded by a soft, comforting light. Let this light represent safety, peace, and your intention to explore only what feels comfortable for you.
If visualisation does not come naturally, simply think of a place where you feel safe and at ease.
Step 4: Set your intention
Silently or aloud, say:
“I open myself to exploring my connection with the Unicorn energy that resonates with me. If this practice is meaningful for me, may I receive insight in a way that feels peaceful, loving, and appropriate for me. May I remain grounded, open, and connected with my own inner wisdom.”
You may also use the phrase “my personal Unicorn guide” if that language resonates with you.
Step 5: Invite an image or feeling
Imagine yourself standing in a beautiful meadow, a forest clearing, or another peaceful landscape.
Allow the scene to unfold naturally. You may imagine a Unicorn approaching you, notice one at a distance, or simply sense the atmosphere of the place.
If a Unicorn appears in your imagination, observe its colour, size, expression, and movement.
Does it approach you? Does it remain at a distance? Does it seem playful, peaceful, curious, or powerful?
Do not try to control what happens. If nothing appears, remain with your breathing and the feeling of being in a peaceful place.
Step 6: Ask a gentle question
If it feels appropriate, ask inwardly:
“What quality would you like me to reconnect with in myself?”
You might also ask:
“What would help me bring more joy, courage, love, or freedom into my life?”
Remain still for a few minutes. Notice any images, thoughts, emotions, memories, or physical sensations that arise.
Allow the experience to be whatever it is, without deciding immediately what it means.
Step 7: Express gratitude and return
Thank your imagination, your inner wisdom, or the Unicorn presence as you understand it.
Imagine the landscape fading gently. Bring your attention back to the room, feel your feet on the floor, and open your eyes when you are ready.
Take a moment to notice how you feel before moving on to another activity.
Step 8: Journal your experience
Write down whatever you remember, even if it seems insignificant or incomplete.
Do not edit your experience to make it sound more spiritual or meaningful. Honest observations are more useful than trying to create a particular outcome.
Journalling Prompts: Getting to Know Your Unicorn
Use the following questions immediately after your meditation or return to them over the next few days.
- What did I experience during the meditation? Did I notice images, colours, emotions, thoughts, or bodily sensations?
- If I imagined a Unicorn, what did it look like? What qualities stood out?
- What emotion did I feel in its presence—peace, joy, curiosity, excitement, uncertainty, or something else?
- If my Unicorn represented a quality within me, what might that quality be?
- What part of myself am I longing to reconnect with?
- Where in my life do I feel restricted, and where do I feel free?
- What would it look like to bring more playfulness, creativity, courage, or compassion into my everyday life?
- Was there a thought or insight that felt particularly meaningful? How might I explore it in a practical way?
- What would I like to ask my Unicorn in a future meditation?
- What is one small action I can take this week to embody the qualities I associated with my Unicorn?
How to Deepen Your Connection
After my initial experiences, I began noticing Unicorn imagery repeatedly. I also encountered references in books and other sources that resonated with what I had experienced.
Over time, I learned to appreciate the importance of patience. Spiritual exploration cannot be forced, and not every meditation needs to produce a dramatic result.
If you would like to deepen your own practice, consider the following:
- Keep a Unicorn journal. Record your meditations, dreams, emotions, and recurring imagery.
- Observe without obsessing. If you notice unicorns in everyday life, you can record the experience without needing to decide that every encounter is a message.
- Return to meditation gently. A few minutes of regular practice may be more helpful than trying too hard to achieve a particular vision.
- Explore your feelings. Pay attention to the qualities that unicorns represent for you, whether that is freedom, innocence, courage, creativity, or love.
- Stay grounded. Spiritual experiences can be meaningful while still allowing room for reflection, practical reasoning, and everyday responsibilities.
Most importantly, do not compare your experience with mine or with anyone else’s. Your inner world is your own.
Your Journey Is Unique
My connection with unicorns became an important part of my spiritual journey. The experiences I had in London, my meditations, and my encounter with Cranio remain meaningful milestones in my life.
But the greatest value of such a connection is not necessarily in seeing a Unicorn or receiving a message. It may lie in the opportunity to listen more deeply to yourself, reconnect with your joy, and recognise the possibilities that you may have overlooked.
You do not need to prove anything, achieve a special state, or experience something extraordinary.
Begin with curiosity. Allow yourself to be open. Record what you experience, and give yourself the time to understand it.
Your Unicorn journey, whatever form it takes, can be an invitation to rediscover the wisdom, wonder, and freedom that already exist within you.
