The Return of the Elementals: Are the Nature Spirits Calling Us Back?
By Querine
If you’ve been feeling more drawn to the forest, to the wind, to quiet water or flickering flame — you’re not alone.
The elementals are calling.
And they are no longer hiding.
For thousands of years, these nature spirits — gnomes, sylphs, undines, salamanders, dryads and devas — have gently withdrawn from human awareness. They didn’t disappear. They simply stepped back.
Why?
Because humanity forgot how to listen.
But now, something is changing.
A Shift in the Veil
The veils between worlds are thinner than ever before.
As the Earth ascends and our frequencies rise, many people are once again beginning to see, sense, or feel the presence of the elementals.
You might catch a shimmer out of the corner of your eye, hear the wind speak your name, or feel a joyful flutter when you step barefoot into the moss.
These are not your imagination.
They are invitations.
The elementals are returning. Or perhaps more truly…
we are returning to them.
Why Now?
Because the Earth is in crisis — and also in transformation.
The elementals are the keepers of nature’s balance, and they are deeply aware of everything that is shifting: climate, ecosystems, air and water quality, and most importantly… the human heart.
They are not angry.
They are not blaming us.
But they are watching. And waiting.
And when they sense a heart open in reverence, they begin to step forward again.
Who Are the Elementals?
- Gnomes tend to the soil and stone — grounding, structure, and deep memory.
- Undines and mermaids care for the waters — emotion, flow, cleansing.
- Sylphs move with the wind — breath, thought, and freedom.
- Salamanders are the fire elementals — transformation, passion, and soul-light.
- Dryads are the spirits of trees, and devas oversee entire landscapes.
They are conscious, wise, and fully aware of humanity’s journey.
And many of them are ready to co-create again.
How You Might Feel Them
- A sudden breeze in still air when you speak from the heart
- A glint of light or movement that disappears when you try to focus
- An intuitive “nudge” when you’re in nature — to stop, to notice, to listen
- A dream filled with forests, glowing beings, or tiny hands touching yours
You may also feel a deep sadness or longing…
That too is their message.
What They Ask of Us
The elementals don’t need us to be perfect.
But they do ask us to be present.
To treat the Earth with reverence.
To walk lightly.
To listen.
Plant something. Sing to a tree. Leave a little offering of water or food for the spirits of place. Sit quietly beside a stream with no intention but love.
And most importantly:
Believe in them again.
Because when you believe, you invite them in.
And when you invite them, they return.
The Invitation
The return of the elementals is not just a magical idea — it is a sign of planetary healing.
They come when the Earth is ready… and when we are willing to co-create again.
If you’ve been sensing them — trust it.
If you haven’t yet — go outside, breathe deep, and whisper your openness.
They hear you.
And they are closer than you think.
*”Come back to us,” they say.
“Not as rulers… but as kin.”
