July 10th 2025 Full Moon Meditation – Buck Moon

The name Buck Moon comes from the fact that male deer (bucks) begin to grow their new antlers in July. The buck moon is also sometimes known as the thunder moon as there are many storms during the summer season, or the hay moon, as this is also the haymaking season.

The theme of this meditation is Embracing the Wisdom of Nature, Living the Power of Calm

Please find a comfortable place to sit, close your eyes, and gently place your hands on your knees. Let us begin with three deep breaths – Imagine inhaling golden sunlight as you breathe in, and as you exhale, allow the tension in your body to slowly melt away. (Pause for a few seconds).

Feel your feet firmly planted on the ground, and imagine soft golden and silver roots growing from the soles of your feet, penetrating through the floor, soil, and rocks …. extending all the way to the warm core of the earth. There lies a glowing lake, filled with calming blue energy. Let your roots gently touch the lake water bringing this peaceful energy from Mother Earth back into your body, flowing up from your feet until it fills your entire chest. Feel this energy like warm sunlight, slowly permeating every cell making you feel safe and stable.

Now, lift your gaze and imagine a full moon above your head, with silver moonlight falling like gentle rain. As you inhale, let the moonlight flow into your body from the top of your head, illuminating every cell; as you exhale transform the heavy emotions within you into a grey mist, releasing it through your fingertips, (repeat this breathing twice). Feel the power of this moonlight, like a blessing from the universe, connecting you with the rhythm of nature in this special moment.

Now, place your right hand on your heart and feel the warmth of your heartbeat. Imagine there is a glowing seed here ….. it represents the wishes you want to grow over the next three months (pause for a few seconds). Gently cover this seed with your left hand and say to it, “I allow you to grow in the way that is the best for me” (whisper this three times). Feel this seed gradually sprouting in your heart, absorbing nourishment from the universe and the earth, allowing it to thrive deep within your spirit.

Now, imagine yourself standing by a clear river with autumn leaves floating on the surface. Pick up a leaf and tell it about something that has been troubling you recently, then gently place it back in the water, watching it be carried away softly (pause for one minute). During this process, feel the flow of the river, like the river of life, taking away your worries and anxieties, letting them disappear with the current.

Feel a warm light approaching from behind you, a comforting presence like that of a wise being (you may call it an angel or the power of nature). Let it gently wrap you in a cloak of light, and hear it whisper in your ear. “The courage and wisdom you need are already within your heart” (repeat this phrase three times). Feel this support and love, allowing it to become your source of strength as you face the future.

Slowly bring our attention back to your breath, feeling the roots of energy once again deeply anchoring into the crystal palace of Mother Earth, guiding your awareness back to your heart centre, feeling the seed in your chest and the light behind you. Rub your hands together to generate warmth, then gently place them over your eyes and smile at yourself. When you are ready, you can open your eyes, carrying this sense of calm with you. Remember, this peace and power are always within your heart; you can return to this state at any time, embracing the wisdom of nature and living the power of calm.

At this moment of the full moon, let us express gratitude for the gifts of nature and the blessings of the universe. May each participant root themselves in the Earth, flow with life, and bloom into their truest selves in the days to come.
